Today continued.

By the way, just back from a couple of weeks with friends in Canada. Great time. I feel I now know Niagra Falls as well as I know my own village!
Got to do, lunch time now.

Today

Anotherd day! A bright and sunny one I admit; one when I can work a little in the garden.
I am now beginning to see the results of my spring planting. Potatoes, spring cabbage, lettuces are already being consumed. Tomatoes, runner beans and cucumbers will be next. It's quite good fun really and as one who has had a successful veg plot for over 50 yerars I recommend it. Nothing quite like fresh runner beans, new potatoes and some slices of fresh back bacon!
So, for those of you who are in doubt, then get OUT and start digging; anyway, the exercise is good for you so they tell me.

A wet Bank Holiday Monday

What does one do on such a day? I sit in the conservatory and watch a myriad of house sparrows on the lawn devouring yesterday's scattered seed, accompanied by some sprinting blackbirds, a couple of magpies, a woodpigeon and rather a large, seemingly lonely, carrion crow which seems to have lost its way, but waits for me every day in the branches of a nearby tree before it glides expertly on its massive black wings, on to the lawn, causing all other birds to seek the shelter of the garden hedge. In fact I quite like him / or her. How does one tell the difference?

Shots of S.Y.G.

Swn y Gwynt in springtime

Day 1 Sunday, 29th. May

This Blog is now about 1 hour old. So far, no takers! I get the distinct feeling that I will have to wait quite a while.
I am under instruction with very little to tell you.
The rats are now contained i.e., dead, as my tally is 15. If I could sell them I could make a fortune.

Welcome to my new Blog

I shall report from this site on a regular (annual!) basis.
